TSE is right about face misinformation, but it can’t strike on free speech
Against the notorious justice’s slowness, the minister Alexandre de Moraes was right last sunday (17) on take a provisory decision in favour of Worker’s Party, which contested the spread of fake news on social media by Bolsonaro’s supporters.
Member of Federal Supreme Court and next Electoral Supreme Court president, Moraes was on duty since this court when he determined the removal contents which, in his avaluation, are lies broadcasted with the purpose to harm Lula da Silva.
Some news released, removed by the minister, make fake connections between the criminal gang First Capital’s Command (PCC), Worker’s Party (PT) and the Celso Daniel’s murder in 2002, when he was major of Santo Andre (SP), and member of PT.
The Moraes’ order also hit post that distort facts, make understandable that the former president Lula compared poor people to toilet paper, or associated PT to nazism and fascism.
The perpretrators of misinformation was parliamentarians such as the senator Flávio Bolsonaro, (PL-RJ) son of the president Jair Bolsonaro, and the deputies Hélio Lopes (PL-RJ) and Otoni de Paulo (MDB-RJ) and Carla Zambelli (PL-SP), all them close to president Bolsonaro.
Since the president Lula leads the pools for the presidency of republic, not a suprise that Bolsonaro’s supporters make him a preferential target for their killer reputation machine.
Not a suprise, but dismay. The mechanisms are known, that Bolsonaro uses for his war for the power. The 2018 ellection is a clear example, the infamous hate cabinet, installed on the Presidential Palace is another.
Anything says that will be changes, otherwise, the unsual Bolsonaro’s reunion with foreign ambassadors made for the president exhale his lies about the eletronic vote system is a clear proof of that.
If the president act like this without shame and under the worldwide press, what can we figure out what he and his gang is planning under the anonymous social media. Surely will act like militia virtual gangs, aiming defile public debate.
It’s good to know that future TSE president strives to fight this cowards and dirty actions. Trying to protect freedom vote and citizenship.
But, also it’s important not loose the free speech, a fundamental piece on democracy.
